The Professor

The Professor is a diety in training. Created from and residing in the realm of thought, they aspire to become the Goddex of stories. They have the ability to traverse between all worlds conceived by the imagination, sometimes even influencing the stories within. However, they often prefer taking the role of the observer.
As a teacher, they care deeply for their students and the subjects they teach. Once you get them talking about something they love, it’s almost impossible to get them to stop. They’re almost always working, and are perpetually tired, drinking coffee or munch on something constantly. When they see a student struggling, they do their best to help them. But when they see bullying in any form, they are quick to rage — taking on more eldritch horror-like features to remind the class who is in charge.

Bas

Bas is The Professor's assistant. Brought to life from one of their attempts to circumvent the end of the story, Bas shares a very close bond with The Professor. They are quiet and shy at first, but love conversation when they’re comfortable. Between helping to grade papers and do research, they have private lessons with The Professor to hone their magic potential. Unlike The Professor, though, they don’t need to sleep and spend quite a bit of time on their hobbies of knitting, playing video games, and art when The Professor doesn’t require them. When they’re in public, they wear a hoodie and mask in order to hide their “scarier” features (with little success). They have a great respect for life and can often be found enjoying the company of animals.
